Saline Landscape & Design believes in doing good work. We’ll design a plan for your patio, plant and garden beds, walkways, outdoor living spaces, and then our crew will build it. Whether you know exactly where you want a fire pit and retaining wall, or you aren’t sure what you want to do just yet, we’ll give you some good ideas that are a bit different from the rest of the neighborhood. Mike Saline
Owner/Landscape Designer

At eight years old, Mike got his first job pulling weeds under the potting beds at his Engwall Florist, owned by his dad. For the next 10 years, he spent every summer in the greenhouses, caring for the plants and property. In 2010, he started Saline Landscape & Design, specializing in custom, thoughtful designs that bring just a bit more quiet into day-to-day life. When he’s not drawing landscape plans, returning client phone calls, or pitching in on a wildflower garden, Mike can be found cross country skiing, mountain biking, or running around the forest with his wife, Kristen, their son, Sig, and dog Otto.

Cody Thran
Senior Crew Lead

Our clients love Cody. It’s because he does such a good job of understanding what each clients wants, keeps them in the loop, and keeps our crew on time, on budget, and tidy. Also because he’s just an all around great guy. Cody’s been in charge of client projects from the beginning. Originally from the Twin Cities, Cody and Mike met when they worked together at Spirit Mountain. When he’s not building rock walls or laying a brick patio with the crew, you can find Cody playing Frisbee golf.
